Theatregoers

It's so much fun going to the theatre, but sometimes it's nice to have an idea about the play you are going to see. This is especially true if it's not a production known to you, or if you are taking children or novice theatregoers who might need more of an explanation about what they are going to see. I remember never going to see Shakespeare as a child without having been told the Lamb's version of the story first.

Playregistry.com doesn't guarantee that the synopses won't give away twists in the plot, but where possible the information included will be just enough to tell you what to expect, without ruining your theatre experience.

We are also in the process of developing a user review system to allow you to tell the rest of the world what you thought of a production you have seen. This will enable other theatregoers to not only know the basic plot before they arrive at the performance, but also to have some idea from real people, not critics, as to whether they are likely to enjoy what they are seeing, and what they might get out of the experience.

If we've not yet got round to updating a play that you're interested in, just let us know and we'll endeavour to make sure it is done in time to meet your needs.
